This new version of the classic Manfred Mann track 'Blinded By The Light' was already produced a few years ago by german DJ MICHAEL MIND. But a short while after Michael finished his demo version the Discoboys had huge success with their 'For You' track - which is also a remake of a classic Manfred Mann track. So Michael decided not to go with his track to avoid an image as a copy-cat. But his 'Blinded..' demo version was heard by the Sunloverza well known german house production team. They convinced Michael to finish his track in a cooperation and sent it to some record companies. The german label KONTOR, which had aslo released the 'For You' track was very enthusiastic on 'Blinded..' and they asked Manfred Mann for a clearance for his original song - this was only a question of seconds after Manfred heard this new version. MICHAEL MIND feat. Manfred Mann’s Earthband 'Blinded By The Light' rocked the clubs worldwide in 2007 and reached the No. 12 position in the German sales charts. Not enough: The track was also on the top position of the most German Dance Charts for the year 2007 so it’s definitely the most successful House / Dance track in 2007. The follow up singles 'Ride Like The Wind' and ‘Don’t Walk Away’ reached also top positions in the dance charts and entered the german sales charts. Now wonder that Michael is one of the most requested House DJs in Germany and also seen in many TV Shows in Germany. He presented his hits live at the RTL new years eve party in Berlin in front of 1,2 million people.
